Grok Bot for Home Assistant with their MCP

A week ago I started using Grok Bot for some hobby projects and found out that there’s a Home Assistant MCP from the Open Source community.

And wow: It’s great!

After connecting it to Grok Bot I asked it a few simple questions: What lights do I have?

And of course, it replied with those lights.

Then I asked it a few questions about my automations, what I could make better. It came with some suggestions, I said “Hey, just apply them” and 30 seconds later… my automations we’re edited.

I now rarely open any configs in Home Assistant, only when it’s absolutely
necessary for me to do it (e.g. when the Bot needs a Google auth or something like that).

It’s great.
